Weekly Memo #3

Go Falcons!!!

I was at Sunday's game and it was amazing. The energy level in the dome was very cool. The Falcons won the game in the last 32 seconds of the game. So what does this have to do with school? It just goes to show you that no matter how bad things get, there's always a chance to make them better.

This week in 1st and 6th Period Literature classes, we will finish reading "The Noble Experiment." We have a few activities to complete for it, but on Friday, students will be taking a quiz over the Vocabulary, Fact and Opinion, and Primary and Secondary Sources. They have notes that cover everything on the test and will need to study for it. This will be the first quiz of the new semester, so they will need to make sure they do well.

In 2nd and 3rd Period Read 180 classes, we continue with our When Nature Attacks unit by finishing up "A Mountain on Fire" before moving on to "Hurricanes."

On Wednesday, all classes will visit the Media Center to check out books. This will also be the start of a new book report project, so ALL students need to make sure they have their fines taken care of so they can check out a book. After book check-out, the students should receive all their book report information concerning their book report. They will need to bring it back signed the next day for a homework grade.

Have a good week everyone! Remember to sign-up for the forum and Follow by E-mail.
