End of the Week Memo

Just a few pieces of news to share with everyone.

1) Team Progress Reports will go home today for my homeroom. Most of the other classes went home yesterday. If they received them yesterday, they needed to be signed and returned to their homeroom today. If they receive them today, they will need to be signed and returned on Monday.

2) All Book Report Project grades have been given to students. They were required to get them signed and returned. Most students have done this, however, a few have not. The grades will not be collected, simply checked, so please make sure you are doing this. If you have not seen your child's Book Report Project grade, please ask for their rubric. This grade was not a part of the Team Progress Report, however, they have been added into Infinite Campus, so you can see your current grade on there.

3) Next week is the final week for grades that will be added into this report card period. Report cards will go home on Thursday, March 21st.

4) Several students have started using Study Island in order to help students get more practice for the CRCT. It can assist in all the core subject areas (Reading, Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies). The student's username is their student ID number (the students use it for their password to log in to the computers at school) and the password is password. If an ID number doesn't work, try adding a 0 or a 1 to the end of it. If that still doesn't work, students can see me and I can get them their username. I have been adding several practice tests to their information for them to work on. They are all based on areas that students are struggling with on the Benchmarks. They will all be due for a grade at a later time, but students can go ahead and start working on them. The first one will be due by next Friday, and it is practicing Conflict with them.
