Relay for Life
Kennedy Road has begun to collect money for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. Last year, my students raised more money than any other homeroom in the school, and this year, the challenge has been laid again to my homeroom to repeat this feat. Our goal is $500, although I would love to shatter even that goal. In the first week of competition, my students raised over $120 to claim first place this week, winning some absolutely great home baked chocolate chip cookies made by Mrs. Worley. Now next week, we must continue to bring in money for this very worthy cause.
Even though I am obviously rooting for my homeroom to win this competition, everyone truly needs to pitch in and donate. Every little bit helps.
