Each week we have several assignments that are due by the end of the week.
1) Expository Writing Mini-Poster – Create a mini-poster on expository writing. The poster must include the definition, a paragraph that is an example of expository writing, and a graphic that goes with the example. The poster must be creative and eye-catching. This will be due Monday, October 25th and will be worth a project grade.
(A copy of the above was stapled into each student's agenda, and they were given a single sheet of white paper)
2) Reading Log (Students must read 50 pages by Friday)
(Students were given a copy of a Reading Log that they must keep up with. It will be collected, graded, and given back to them on Friday to continue to use it)
3) Language Arts Blog Challenge 7 – Due Monday, October 25
4) 3 Novel Reviews (1st one due by Friday, October 29th) – Worth 1 Project Grade each
(Students were given a review form. The novel they do a review on must be one of the books checked out from the library that was approved by myself. They will receive their next review form will be given to them after they turn in their first review.)

- Mr. Chauncey is a teacher at Kennedy Road Middle School. He teaches 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Read 180, and an 8th Grade ELA Enrichment class. This is his 15th year of teaching. He is on the Board of Directors at the Main Street Theatre and manager of The Haunted Theatre Haunted House.
